What a little gem we found for lunch, mum had the grilled plaice, dad and I had the liver and bacon. All cooked to perfection, service was impeccable, it was lovely that someone comes around snd serves the vegetables to you. Music in the background was nice, makes a change to go somewhere where pride is taken, music is not overbearing and good home cooked food. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back when in the area next 5/5

Traditional Sunday roast Very generous portions Excellent value for money Plenty of tender meat, Roasties,parsnips and three perfectly cooked veg …… all served at the table with lashing a of tasty and amazing gravy The best Sunday Roast in Sidmouth Felt like it was cooked by my man……. delicious Sticky toffee pudding ….. sponge as light as a feather Creamy custard Heaven You would be advised to book as does not have any covers A very rare find Take a step back in time……. With beautify cooked and presented good old fashioned food You will NOT be disappointed ……. Unless you haven’t booked !!!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful place, beautiful food, the atmosphere I'd beautiful, the music is amazing (proper old school musical songs)and the lady that greeted us is so lovely and really makes to the place wonderful she's so happy always singing or humming along, there's photos of legends gene Kelly etc definitely come back anytime

Some Very Good News for Sidmouth, Osborne's Coffee Shop has reopened as Kate is now feeling better. We visited this Retro Restaurant today and our Service, Coffee and Food were excellent as usual. The varied Menu changes frequently and is shown on the Blackboard outside, it's very reasonably priced, but it's not for everyone, as it is the style of home-cooking practiced by my Mum and Grandma, and the decor features ancient Movie Stars. If you are from the Generation who like Meals with plenty of Veggies and Gravy, and Traditional Deserts with Custard, this is the place for you, think of it as Culinary Time Travel. We had Mains of Lasagne and Steak & Onion Pie. Our Deserts were Treacle Tart and Marmalade Bread & Butter Pudding (with Custard of course.) Our Meal was faultless, friendly and very filling, and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Brilliant find for Sunday lunch. Food was hot, home cooked with proper vegetables all hand served to order. A smaller establishment with eclectic decorations that suited the place. Friendly owner serving friends and older clients with occasional bookings like ours. We got the last three places today, and it was worth it. Pork, lamb, and beef roasts were served impeccably. Others around us where served vegetarian and standard menu options with lots of meat and filled plates with gravy. We will be back when next in the area.

What an amazing place to stop and have some food. Great food welcoming atmosphere and perfect old school themed music. The front of house lady is cherpy and full of joy making it all the more welcoming will be back when next I. Sidmouth

We go to Osbornes every year when we are down at the Folk Festival - always delicious food and a very welcoming hostess. Don't go if you are strapped for time as service is quite relaxed, and take cash! The décor has it's own charm - how many people in the photos can you name?
